The Federal University Dutsin-ma, Katsina State is one of the nine newly established Federal Universities in Nigeria. The University is located in Dutsin-ma, the headquarters of Dutsin-ma Local Government Area, about 60 kilometres south of Katsina, along Katsina-Kankara Road. The institution is ICT-driven and envisioned to be a top ranking, world-class university, committed to excellence in research and the production of leaders with a passion for service with integrity. Academic activities are planned to commence during the 2011/2012 academic year.
